Laurienne MacKinnon

Laurienne graduated as an Occupational Therapist from the University of the Witwatersrand in 1992. Taking her first job in the paediatric department of a busy government hospital outside Pretoria, she developed her passion for working with vulnerable children. Since then, she has continued to improve upon her skills in order to guide and support families with little people facing challenges, to flourish in their world.

She is an Ayres Sensory Integration ® Certified therapist and is a certified user of the Sensory Integration and Praxis Test. She has a special interest in the challenges faced by children with sensory processing challenges. More recently, she has trained with The Interdisciplinary Council on Development and Learning (ICDL) and is an Advanced DIR Floortime Provider. Her love for the DIR Floortime approach has opened the door to working with families facing the many challenges of Autism.
